Working With Skins
An evoSkin is actually a collection of templates and subtemplates which control the layout of your blog. Skins are the easiest way to customize your blog because they are already packaged for use. Skins in b2evolution are roughly the equivalent of what other software calls Themes or Templates. (b2evolution skins however add multiple levels of customization options that you may not find in other software.)
Using built in skins
In the backoffice, under blog settings, you can select a new skin for any one of your blogs.
Downloading & Installing additional skins
You can view and download the skins that work on 2.x in the Skin Repository.
After you download a new skin, you must install it.
Editing an existing skin
You can find the templates that compose the skin you’re using in a subfolder of the /skins directory on your b2evolution installation.
The best place to start is probably to try and tweak the files a little (most skins come with a CSS file named style.css).
For details of what each file is for and what’s inside, please refer to the Skins 2.0 tech spec.
If you add, change or remove widget containers, you will need to reload the skin through the General Settings > Skins install screen in order to b2evolution to "see" your changes.
Creating your own skin(s)
To create a new skin, you need to create a new folder under the /skins directory (as in b2evo 1.x). For example: /skins/myskin2 .
For details, please refer to the Skins 2.0 tech spec.

Prior to using your new skin on a blog, you will need to install it. This is necessary so that b2evolution can scan the skin files and locate widget containers.
