Collection Dashboard

The dashboard of a specific Collection will show a summary of items that need attention like:

- Comments awaiting moderation (5 most recent)
- User contributed posts awaiting moderation (this happens with forums)
- Draft posts awaiting to be finished or published
- Recently edited posts

It is not quite clear why the dashbords from any "Home / Main" collection shows posts from all other collections as well. Should it not only list posts that belong to this collection? This works well for other collection types (like manual). Please explain the difference and logic behind it as part of the manual.
