b2evolution 4.0.4 (stable) released

Posted by fplanque on Mar 13, 2011 in New releases

b2evolution 4.0.4 (stable) has been released.

Download here »

This release contains fixes for bugs that have been reported in b2evolution 4.0.3.

All credits for this release go to Alex who backported the fixes from the development branch for b2evo 4.1 back to the 4.0 stable branch.

In some situations, installing version 4.0.3 may have displayed a PHP warning message on your blog. This release addresses this issue. The other fixes are less critical. Nethertheless, if you have been waiting for a bug fix that has been addressed in the forums, it is likely you will find it in this release.

If you are running 4.0.3 and you have no issues with it, you don't need to upgrade to version 4.0.4.

We also have the first contributed language pack for b2evolution 4.0. It is for Spanish. Download here »

The next release will likely be 4.1.0-beta (no release date yet).

Cool. I’m upgrading, even though I had no problems with 4.0.3. I’m glad that someone got a language pack for 4.0.3 out.

Any word a quick-upgrade patch with just the changed files?

Looking good Franc! I am little bit new to the b2e system. I think I have saw b2e many times in its earlier stages and was not sure what was going on with b2e. But one thing about it the skins of b2e compared to the WordPress skins are in my opinion much more good looking than the WordPress skins. But then again I only saw the WordPress skins at the WordPress.org website. But I read your back ground Franc. Pretty impressive if you ask me that you was able to keep b2e going this long. I am eager to test out the new version that you are working on. The only biff I got with version 4.05 is a few form issues and the aggregate feature but everything else is running pretty solid. Like I said again I am eager to test out the next version you got planned coming out. I hope that you are doing well and keep up the great work.
