The current version 0.9.0.8 "Oslo" is pretty stable. We will however release a new version codenamed "Madrid" shortly.
The main purpose will be to provide more language packs in the main distribution.
To all translators: please update your language files as much as possible for this release.
There are two language files to translate:
The translation howto is here. Anyone feel free to start a new translation or update one that has not been updated in a while.
For those of you updating directly on the CVS ( Ronh!
), please make sure that you work on the "v-0-9" stable branch and not on the main development branch. Only changes in the "v-0-9" branch will make it into the release!
Ah yes... we might also introduce some slight cosmetic changes in this release
(what do you think?)

The technical documentation here has been updated to match release 0.9.0.8 "Oslo".
You should notice presentation has improved a little also.
We'll continue working on the technical doc but this is only the first step in the global documentation effort. End user documentation will follow.
Update: the dirty Wiki has started its migration to the somewhat cleaner User manual.
Later: it's been tedious
but everything has moved to the new User Manual. Consider the old WiKi dead!
Anyone willing to contribute a few manual pages is welcome. Translators too. Please speak up if you're willing to help! ![]()

b2evolution version 0.9.0.8 has been released. We have received significant help from Oslo with bug hunting for this release, hence the codename. Greetings to Terje and Marcus!
This release is focused on stability. It comes with various little but much anticipated bugfixes. Even better: never before have we put that much effort into fixing little bugs that have been spotted only in very specific situations.
So this one is probably the most stable version we have ever released. If you have been delaying your next upgrade, now may be a good time! We probably won't have something this stable for several months from now.

A little late but here it is, as promised.
Update: the file includes KiesoW's late nite fixes! Anyone who got that release during IRC chats is invited to get the latest updated file from SF.

The current version 0.9.0.3 has been installed by a lot of people and we got a lot of feedback; even reports on little bugs that have been there for several months without anyone noticing! ![]()
Version 0.9.0.5 "Berlin" aims at fixing most of these little bugs in order to make version 0.9 even better than it already was! ![]()
We should release this new package tomorrow. Translators, please send last lang file updates before 06:00 UTC Saturday.
Of course, you'll get a little more than just little bug fixes:

Yesterday I created a b2evo IRC channel for fun and sent the address to a few contributors. I thought I'd see one or two of them passing by...
To my surprise, everyone dropped by!
And we spent a couple of hours yesterday evening chatting together. There's always been someone on the channel ever since! So I guess it's alive and bound to stay! ![]()
You are all invited to join for discussion. The channel is #b2evolution on irc.freenode.net .
We'll try to all get together today at 17:00 UTC (click for local times).
If you are unfamiliar with IRC, don't worry. I was too, no later than yesterday! ![]()
There is an incredibly easy way to get started: install the Mozilla browser (which comes with a bundled IRC client) and just enter the following url: irc://irc.freenode.net/b2evolution . Easy as pie!
