New design, new logo

Permalink March 27, 2007 @ 17:05, by Francois Planque • Category: b2evolution.net

If you're reading this in your RSS reader, check out our new site design.

Otherwise, you have probably noticed already! :)

Please let us know how it works for you...

The subsites (skins, plugins, manual, forums, demo...) will be updated to follow the main design shortly. In the meantime, please bear with a little inconsistency ;)

You may also have noticed the new b2evolution logo... just to give you a foretaste of 2.0 ;)

Now all it needs is for the main Menu Tabs to be turned upside down to match the new logo, with the rounded corners at the bottom.

Logo looks great

Great. As indicated by others more modern looking. The orange also gives feeling of "strength"

Guess I'm the only one, but I liked the old design better. I thought the changing colors and the lowered 2 made it look like art. The new logo looks like many of the new sites. Clean and antiseptic.

Don't get me wrong, I still love the site and B2 :-)

I agree with Madrigal Maniac that the new look is rather antiseptic. Still, I like the new logo and the colors. The little chat bubble design is very cute. Not only do I think this will grow on me, but I'm already playing with the logo to replace the current links on my blog that lead back to the b2evolution web site.

I'm just an old bag and the site rembers to the 70'ies, but since all the stuff around Kiew's orange-revolution, I like the color again.

to the point: a fine design, the logo too

yah, I don't know myself either what's with the "orange-revolution", even gaming companies are jumping into the bandwagon... is the blue-revolution dead? Hehe...

Gratz... and can't wait for b2e 2.0 RAWR!! Let's bring b2evolution to the NEXT LEVEL!

Do you have plans for publishing this skin? You should. I like the layout and the tabs format.

Actually, no I'm not exactly planning on having third party sites looking like the b2evolution website.

There will be new skins coming though...

Nice. I like the modern look.

Francois, have you considered adding an option for users to ban IP addresses ? I'm getting spam in the back office and though the domain names are the different, the iP addresses are the same. :-/

The new design is great for sure and the logo is perfect, but still I have noticed differences between IE and FIREFOX. I am under a multiple screens display with WINXP, and I use the latest IE and Firefox 2.0

I have no problem with firefox 2.0 but appearance is somehow buggy in between posts with IE. Maybe I did something wrong. Do you guys know about this type of error/bug?

Sylvain I don't understand what you mean. I don't see any important problem with IE here.

Sorry that was not your layout, but my crashing version of IE that generated those errors. I have managed to fix my IE issue.. By the way that would be nice if you could share this skin. The tab format is awesome! Congratulations.

hi! i like the idea of changing the logo but not really happy with the new one. i think the logo is a bit squeezed and the font don't look catchy too. maybe a little more tweak could do the trick.

the orange color i guess is b2evo's color since it started.

It is nice. But still It is not giving a perfact satisfaction according to the fame of b2evolution.
Appearance is looking very old but as per functionality it beets all.
