First of all, let me congratulate you: you’ve done a wonderful job. I just have a suggestion.

For those of us who write a blog in a language other than english, it is more important to ping sites that whatch blogs in our language. More important, I guess, than pinging Technorati an the usuals.

I propose I revamped pinging system where you can register different protocols for pinging servers and then, using the admin interface, you register servers with either of the available protocols.

This would make a lot of an improvement. If done right, you could add new/updated protocols, and users would ping whatever site they like (bitacoras.net, etc.).

E-Mail notification of new entries would be great. I am with Craig on that.

If you could have it so that people could register to be notified of new posts (they don’t have/like/want RSS) this way you could even a make mailing list type set-up and use the Blog as an archive.

WYSIWYG for writing article would be great, and make b2evo a real alternative to MT for large projects targeting low tech users :-)
