There is a ZIP on sourceforge containing only the new/changed files.
It’s 1 MB of changes! :P
Your the man Francois :)
Thanks
Hi Francois!
First of all, thanks for a wonderful piece of blogging software. :)
Small question - will it be an easy update for me ? I’m running 0.91 and I’ve been waiting. I was just about to use the summer beta, but you’ve released this so now I’m going to use this, but I want to know if there’s anything I need to do first.

Upgrading from 0.9.2 goes smootly if you have no customized skins.
If you use a default skin - or are willing to use a default skin in the mean time - you can upgrade without any hassle.
Just take into account that you have to grant all usergroups or users that have to be able to upload files those priviliges (group permissions - wide) in the blogstab)
Upgrading a skin is not that difficult, when using the manual EdB wrote : http://manual.b2evolution.net/Upgrade_Skin_from_0.9.2_to_1.8
I’ve not tested upgrading directly from 0.9.1 yet.

Thanks!
Looks great! However I am still waiting for additional skins for 1.8 :)
Is it possible to get a changelog? So i can see all the new goodies thats been added, as if there isn’t anything new, i can wait a while. Can’t really be bothered re-hacking a new version atm (unless it’s worth my while ;))

Hi,
Where I get the files to make my contribute in translate to brazilian portuguese?
Thanks, Topanga. :) One of these coming weekends, I’ll update everything.

Upgrading from just works perfect. Everything goes smooth. Now I just have to convert my skin, but the new included ones also look very nice.
Congrats!
Hi there,
I am running the most recent 0.9 version and have a few modifications in a few files, as well as using a custom skin.
What is the best way to install the new version and then add back the modifications I’ve made?
Thanks much,
Ross

Just want to say it Loud : this version is Waaaaaahhhhhw !! just the fact to dissallow the comments in one click to all blogs is perfect, then i can see in my stats how much of the access i get is actually spam, without being “infected” !
Keep up the good works! :)
cheers,

I have to DO IT… yes coz of a wrong version with a captcha plugin…i’ve uploaded the last ver (from 1.6–>1.8.1) and with a new skin so on i’ve to re-view and copy the parts of my old files…but…the progress is so strong and all seems upgraded…as the spam parts ! bravo !
this upgrade is a piece of cake; really !
Don’t wait to do it now ! thanks !

One feature that is still badly needed: static pages like it is known i Word Press.
Pages where you can put text, but that are not part of the normal blog structure with dates etc.
These pages can be used for information about the blog, the blogger etc.
As said badly needed!
But thanks for the good work on the new version.

Okay, I added a little “changelog” to the post above, as well as links to translation resources. ;)

This is just … wonderful.
the last time I was on this site was on june…
and now I’m very surprised for the quick evolution about ameliorations you brought to this software. ;)

I’m working a script that will let the users upload their picture in the user’s profile and allow them to control its display on their site but it’s not perfect because of the comments that are not added on all changes I’ve been made (Snooper).
I’ll email it to you in few days.
Just perfect.
Upgraded to the latest version without any problems!
B2Evoluiton rules!
Perfect,
very easy to use. Perhaps the most usefull blog prog !
Hey,
I am running 1.8 beta.
Is there a simple way I can update?
Cheers!

cheers!
does that mean 1.8 beta can be upgraded to 1.8.2 just by overwriting the files?
Comment from: fplanque
yes
Wow, thank you Francois!

Release 1.8.2 is out. Same ease of upgrading ;)
While not asking for a full file compare, is it possible to list files that have NOT been changed, since 1.8, in this update?
Cheers
