Hi, sorry if this has been asked before but I couldn't find an answer with a forum search.

I am running b2evolution version 1.10.2 on a private Intranet and would like to upgrade to version 5.0.7.

I followed all the standard upgrade instructions, but when I run the install script the web page only returns:

Upgrading b2evolution...
Checking files...

Nothing after that. There are no messages in the Apache error log. I am running this on Linux/Apache.

Is this upgrade possible, or is it too big a version step? I could just install 5.0.7 fresh, but I'd like to keep all the existing posts (there are no custom skins), is there a way to import them?

TIA,
Chris

Perhaps it was related to permissions.

I restored from backup and started a fresh upgrade install. I hadn't chown'd the new installation before, this time I did to apache:apache as well as chmod 777 conf.

The upgrader still only reported the same two lines:

Upgrading b2evolution...
Checking files...

but, the blog URL responds now and it seems to be working! Thanks for your help!
