I'm participating in a b2evo blog, and it seems that some posts are particularly infected by spam. I've disabled comments for these individual posts, but it seems that I can't disable trackbacks.
Am I missing something, is there a bug, or should I ask the admin for more privilieges?

Unfortunately trackbacks are ON or OFF for the whole blog. What version of b2evolution are you running? I think you are not the owner of the blog you're talking about, but depending on version there might be a hack that will kill trackback spammers dead.

Hopefully you have enough permissions to delete/ban/report the spammers! That'd be the little "ban" symbol next to the URL when you follow the "edit" link from the email telling you of the new trackback.

BTW I'm currently getting maybe 10 trackback spams a day because I had the trackback killer hack but upgraded and am now exposed to their evil ways. I've thought about turning them off again until I re-write the hack, but I sort of like reporting them ;)

Hi,

can i just ask a novice question on this topic?

i also get a number of spam track backs.
What are the repercussions of this (other than annoying email)?
