Hi I have had a default installation running of 0.92.

I renamed 'Blog A' to 'My Blog' and cannot Edit the default Parent categories that are installed.

When I click on the Edit section I can see the Parent categories but after clicking on the link a page cannot be displayed error is occurring.

This happens even if I add a new Category. I cannot view the Edit information.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

This was happening with some other user before and the cause were links like "?param=value&param2=value2" instead of "file?param=value..." (the "file" was missing).

I've changed it in CVS and committed it also to the 0.9 branch, but eventually it got rolled back.

We have quite a lot of those links now in HEAD again.. :/

Still, I don't know what the cause is.. what browser are you using? what webserver are you using?

I've looked at the source.. that does not seem to be the problem here.

But Browser/Server questions still apply.. have you tried other browser(s)?

Can you copy and paste the link address that fails?

How does it fail exactly? Is there something in the webserver's error log? Is there an entry in the webserver's access log, after you click the link?

Hi
I will find more details for you and post as soon as I get them. I tested the demo version that b2evolution links to and it works ok there so it must be related to what you say about the server etc.

As far as I know I am hosted by and ISP that uses CPANEL/PHP4-5 MySQL but not sure if it has Apache?

I use (forgive me) Internet Explorer 6.0

I will get back to you asap.

Thanks for your help

Installed on

Apache 1.3.33
PHP 5.0.4
MySQL 4.0.27-standard

In the Categories section under,

Categories for blog: My Blog

Then I choose link

Link that does not work:

Do you have access to the access and error log?

It would also help if you could say, if the displayed error is from the webserver (e.g. if there's a Apache signature on the error page) or if it's an IE error page. If it's the latter, please try it with another browser.

Hi

The error has not been occurring anymore.

I can only imagine it had something to do with the Apache Server.

Thanks for your help.

Dominic
