Often a good link isn't approved by the spamfilter because a part of it is 'bad'. It is tedious to find the 'bad' part. The only possibility is breaking the url in pieces and do a search of every piece in the spamfilterlist.

It would be easy, and this is my request, to be able to type the complete url and let the database tell me what part of it is blocking it.

Bumping because it came up in the forums again.

I'll consider the debugging option if/when I hit this again, but it's a request that has been made a few times and one that (to me) makes more sense to simply happen in the back office.

I'd say who gets to see and bypass the filter would be admin-controllable, and even apply to comments made by registered bloggers. Depending on who the admin says is okay for that feature of course.

Got the same problem. I added an url with the word free inside and I spent 10 minutes before understanding that it's the spam system which says "invalid url".
A different message saying that the url is invalid because of possible spam will help people.
