Hello,
Is it possible to delete the global analytic Informations aboute Site Visitors and Site Users.
If I understood the GDPR correctly, I have to delete analysis data on a regular basis.

Yes, there is a scheduled task to prune the hit and session logs. You can configure the number of days.

Thank you. I found the selection point.
I have another question yet. Under the menu "Email-sent" I found the list of all emails that have been sent to me via the contact form. Can this list be deleted?

No. Do you think it is a GDPR requirement to delete the emails that people send to you?

I do not know exactly. But I understand the rules in such a way that any data collection should be avoided or not allowed. Personal data is stored here and may only be stored as long as it is necessary.
I would be glad if it would be possible to delete the list of old emails sent via the contact form. Best even every 7 days. Better safe than sorry.

"Personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject"); an identifiable person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to his physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.

it has to be data collection, by a business. The data has to be tracked to an individual, so more than a name is required, like an address or IP number. Emails containing such would therefore count.

There is no idea that personal emails, via web, client or blog are a problem, only where 'google' etc has detailed user info, asks to many questions, and that is liked to email content.

So if it's personal, senders have no more legal right to ask you to delete their correspondence any more than they would a letter on paper. And once a letter has been received without condition then the recipient is free to do whatever they like with it.

So I don't see the GDPR being an issue, but I do see an issue about not being able to delete emails in a convenient way - other that going to the database.

yes we we all ways to delete and auto delete the email log, if only for disk space considerations.

But guys, please think this through: are you deleting (business) email your receive in your email client after 7 days? Are you seriously thinking the GDPR requires you to delete (business) emails?

How can the window "contact form" be disabled? Is it possible?
In the impressum there is a Email-adress. That's enough for me. I get very few emails about the contact formular.

@fplanque No I don't think business or any emails need deleting. There's just extra liability if an email can be traced to a postal address, business or otherwise.

@egon I thought the contact form only shows via widgets, so any link can be removed. The only way anyone can contact me is via a menu button in the header of my site, which I can remove.

There's always an option to create a dummy [_contact_msg.form.php] and put it in your skin folder. The dummy could work without collecting anything other than a return email address, so no personal data is collected or saved.

On one of my sites I have an option to send comments without leaving any personal data for response.

No, the contact page is not designed to be removed, because when angry users can't fond how to contact you, they contact us (b2evolution.net) and we have to spend one hour for each to explain that we are not affiliated with you.

Anyways, 2 new feature sin b2evo 6.10.1:

  • button to delete individual emails from the log
  • scheduled task to delete all email logs past a certain age threshold

Yeap! There has to be some way of contacting the site owner, but the sender doesn't have to leave real reply details
