saying unlimited disk space, actually means 10gb quota.
it was just a waste of time for me.

HostMetro looks very appealing. I signed up with host metro because of all the services they offered, and the price was very reasonable. In the past I have used a few different hosting services, and in fact I still use many other services. I signed up with HostMetro because they offered “Max Hosting", and when you ask one of their representatives about it, they tell you that if you ever reach your limit, all you need to do is contact the administrator, and they’ll add more to your total storage space. I was setting up my site, and hit the 10 GB they allotted initially. I requested more space, and they sent an email back stating that I should delete some of the files on the server, which I needed for my site. Eventually, they gave me 4 GB more, so a total of 14 GB. Once again about a week later I hit the limit, and sent them an email requesting more space. They replied stating that I would not be allotted anymore storage space, and that 14 GB would be the max that they would give me. They then quoted a line from their terms and conditions which I did not notice that stated no more than 2 GB of pictures and media files could be on their server, and they proceeded to point out all of the folders with a picture in them, and added up the total of the pictures to more than 2 GB… I understand that there isn’t much privacy online, if there is any at all, but it seems a bit invasive that a hosting site would pin point every picture I had in the files, especially since I had intended to use my site (with one of their one-click installations) as a picture site where my family could share pictures with one another (since we now live all over the US). Since it was within the first 30 days of service, and they had a 30 day money back guarantee, I terminated my services by simply requesting that they be terminated, and stating nothing else. Their customer service representative sent back an aggressive, and rude e-mail in response, but regardless I was able to get the services canceled, although it takes them about 10 business days to return the funds.
In short:
-HostMetro does not really offer unlimited storage space, and likely you will not see much over 15 GB
- HostMetro customer service is quite rude to customers, they are nice till you sign up, but once a customer, they’re quite rude.
