That is great news. When will 1.6 be a “stable” release? I am looking forward to working with it.

I used to use b2evo but comment SPAM eventually caused by web-host to insist that I try other software.

This is a shame, as I liked b2evo much better than any of the alternatives.

I agree with the earlier post that suggests getting more serious about security issues. If that had been done six months back, I would still be using b2evo today.

Response to Carl - There are many methods for keeping spam off b2evo, its just a matter of checking the forums. I have been using b2evo for some time now and am very happy with the stability, security, and spam fighting tips provided in the forums that have kept referrer and comment spam much lower than the spam in my email inbox.
Speed of development of new releases is no way to judge an open source project. Development is always continuing, but heck - if it aint broke, why fix it? There are thousands of satisfied b2evo users if the number of installs is any indication. The fact that W3C is using it says a lot!

The one thing you said Carl, that I do agree with, is that Wordpress gets a lot more notice. The b2evolution team are too busy coding to sing their own praises but there should be more promotion. The fact that W3C uses it would mean a lot to a whole heap of potential users. Wordpress gets a lot of promotion, but that does not mean its the best blog. Unless b2 users get into spreading the word, b2evolution will be the best kept secret around.
