Upcoming 0.9.2 release

Permalink May 2, 2006 @ 20:49, by Francois Planque • Category: New releases

Yes I know this is not the one you're expecting...

We will however release a 0.9 update in the upcoming days, mostly to include a few bug fixes, easy antispam tricks and some new locales (Basque eu-ES, Icelandic is-IS, Polish pl-PL, Estonian ee-ET, Russian ru-RU).

Also, I just need to get this one out in order to clear my head! ;)

By the way, if you have a 0.9.x language update sitting on your drive, please send it *now* ... or wait for Phoenix.

This will be the last 0.9.x release. After that one, it will be all 1.x aka Phoenix.

Update: version 0.9.2 is available now!

JohnFrancois will it be possible to perform this 0.9.2 upgrade simply by overwriting CHANGED files instead of running a complete upgrade?

JasonThanks Francois, always looking forward to new releases. Especially if it includes an antispam warfare.

This will be the last 0.9.x release. After that one, it will be all 1.x aka Phoenix.

SO, when will we see Phoenix approximately? ;) You could be like the Duke Nukem Forever team and always announce "When it's done" as the release date.

Keep up the great work guys. B2E is truly a great project!

Can anyone recommend a windows tool that will diff folder A and folder B structures and create folder C containing only changed files from folder B ?

WalermoFrancois, try http://www.araxis.com/merge/

The site offers a 30-day fully functional trial. Maybe it helps.

Good luck!

ChristianI am still willing to do a Danish language file for Phoenix as I did for 0.9. Just send me the file to work on!

Hopefully Phoenix will include a multiblog on seperate subdomains - that would be cool!

Spuyt 12Hi,

The last few months, when I am looking at the recently updated b2evo blogs-section, I notice that the blogs there are remaining longer in the list per posted article. This probably means that the userbase of b2evolution is becoming smaller.

Do you have an explanation for this, in times when the number of weblogs is doubling every year or so?

BlackCalvinistLove the software. I've been wondering (and maybe I've just missed it), but is there a way I can make it so that only registered users can post comments ?

b2evolution userI use the revised categories.php code that only shows a category if it has postings in it.

b2evolution userI also modified the rss2 code so that it would show the link to the URL, rather than the link to the posting. It would be nice if the code showed that link if there was one, or had it as an option. For example, we use b2evolution as a way to index up our site and pages, and produce RSS feeds, rather than as a blog. So we're really wanting the RSS feed to link to the $Item->url_link.

KeithWhere can I find this upcoming 0.92 version for download? This news was posted on May 2, but there isn't a specific roadmap to indicate the approximation time of public release. I am also currently using b2evolution here, and it has served me quite well.
